1. How deep do you plant trees and shrubs?
It depends on your soil type. If you
have clay soil, leave about three inches above the level ground.
Then place mulch over top. In sandy soil you can install your
plant level with the ground. Then put mulch on top.
2. How thick do you spread mulch?
We recommend only two inches of mulch
on your flower beds.
3. How much water does a newly planted
tree need?
Put the base of the hose on a low
trickle for about 20 mins. Do this two times a week in the
spring and in the summer you can water more accordingly to the
heat.
4. How much water does sod need?
The more you water sod the quicker it
will root into the ground. Once the grass is established you can
water weekly.
5. How much water does seed and straw
need.
The more you water seed and straw the
quicker the seed will germinate. Once grass is establish water
weekly.
6. Will the coloring from the color
enhanced mulch hurt my plants, animals or children?
The coloring from our color enhanced
mulch's with NOT hurt your plants, animals or children. We
recommend you keep the mulch out of your child's mouth but if by
accident they swallow some they will be fine. The same goes with
dogs and cats.
7.When to prune shrubs and trees?
This depends on when the tree or shrub
blooms. If your tree or shrub blooms in the spring you can prune
anytime after it is done blooming. Summer bloomers trim or prune
after it is done blooming. If you have fall bloomers you can

8. When is the best time to plant?
The best time to plant is in the
spring or fall. You can plant durning the summer, you just have
to stay up on the watering more.
9.When is the best time to fertilize
shrubs and trees?
The spring is a great time to
fertilize. We recommend a slow release fertilizer that will feed
your plants up to four months.
10. When to trim Ornamental Grasses?
You can trim them in the fall or the
following spring.
